Summary
Achieving Independence through Degrees Act or the AID Act
This bill provides assistance to students of institutions of higher education, including by increasing the maximum amount of and access to Pell Grants, expanding loan counseling requirements, simplifying the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and expanding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as the food stamp program) benefits to students.
