To amend title 5, United States Code, to establish Election Day as a legal public holiday, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
This Act may be cited as the “Election Day Holiday Act of 2024”.
SEC. 2. Election Day as a legal public holiday.
Section 6103(a) of title 5, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to Columbus Day the following:
“ Election Day.”.
