Ms. Lee of Nevada (for herself and Mrs. Kiggans of Virginia) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Education and the Workforce, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned


A BILL

To amend the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act to reauthorize a youth prevention and recovery initiative.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Treatment, Recovery, Education, Awareness, and Training for Youth Act” or the “TREAT Youth Act”.

SEC. 2. Youth prevention and recovery.

Section 7102(c)(9) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb–7a(c)(9)) is amended by striking “fiscal years 2019 through 2023” and inserting “fiscal years 2024 through 2028”.
