Ms. Slotkin (for herself, Mr. Posey, Ms. Houlahan, and Mr. Bergman) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services


A BILL

To require the Secretary of Defense to publish information regarding the status of certain cleanup efforts of the Department of Defense, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “DoD PFAS Cleanup Transparency Act of 2023”.

SEC. 2. Publication of information regarding status of certain cleanup efforts of Department of Defense.

Beginning not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, and not less frequently than annually thereafter, the Secretary of Defense shall publish on the publicly available website established under section 331(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 (Public Law 116–92; 10 U.S.C. 2701 note) timely and regularly updated information on the status of the cleanup of sites for which the Secretary has obligated amounts for environmental restoration activities.
