Mr. Moylan introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources, and in addition to the Committee on the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
To extend the admission to Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for certain nonimmigrant H–2B workers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Extension of admission to Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for certain nonimmigrant H–2B workers.
Section 6(b)(1)(B) of the Joint Resolution entitled “A Joint Resolution to approve the ‘Covenant to Establish a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in Political Union with the United States of America’, and for other purposes”, approved March 24, 1976 (48 U.S.C. 11 1806(b)(1)(B)), is amended, in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking “December 31, 2024” and inserting “December 31, 2029”.
