Summary
Walter Reed Injury Recovery (WIRe) Act of 2021
This bill requires the Department of Defense (DOD) to provide government employees and their family members timely access to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for assessment if they are determined to be experiencing certain anomalous health conditions.
DOD must furnish treatment for the anomalous health condition or related affliction at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
DOD must also develop a process to ensure that government employees and their family members are afforded timely access to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
