Mr. Soto (for himself and Mr. Budd) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology

A BILL

To establish a blockchain and cryptocurrency position within the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Establishment of blockchain and cryptocurrency position within the Office of Science and Technology Policy.

The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy shall establish or designate a blockchain and cryptocurrencies advisory specialist position within the Office to coordinate Federal activities and advise the President on matters of research and development relating to blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and distributed ledger technologies.
