Summary
Pandemic Accommodation to Support Students Act or the PASS Act
This bill directs the Department of Education (ED) to extend certain temporary relief related to federal student loans.
Specifically, the bill extends to September 30, 2021, the suspension of payments and interest due on Federal Direct Loans and Federal Family Education Loans that are held by ED.
Further, ED must carry out a program, beginning on August 1, 2021, to provide at least six notices to borrowers that normal payment obligations will resume.
