Summary
Safe Drugs Act
This bill authorizes the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to order the mandatory recall of any drug when the FDA determines that there is a reasonable probability that the drug would cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
Currently, the FDA may order a mandatory recall under such circumstances only with respect to a controlled substance.
