Summary

Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Reauthorization Act of 2019

This bill modifies and reauthorizes through FY2024 the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program, which provides support to patients who need a potentially life-saving bone marrow transplant or umbilical cord blood transplant. It also reauthorizes through FY2024 the Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Act of 2005, which provides for the collection and maintenance of new units of high-quality cord blood.

The bill requires the Advisory Council on Blood Stem Cell Transplantation to convene at least twice per calendar year.
